Young talents in Telenor

November 21, 2013 – Beneficiaries of the Fund for Young Talents attended a workshop that could help them get internship or employment in Telenor Serbia. The workshop was organized by Telenor and the Fund for Young Talents and hosted by the Minister for Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić and Telenor Serbia CEO, Ove Fredheim.

"Establishing this type of cooperation and organizing workshops has multiple benefits for everyone involved – the companies get direct access to the best young experts who can appreciate the opportunity, whilst the Fund beneficiaries get a chance to gain experience in the best companies, make business contacts in a good business environment and hone their skills and knowledge in practice,” said Minister Udovičić.

The beneficiaries of the Fund for Young Talents had a unique opportunity to take part in the workshop “Customer in focus” and find out first-hand why in successful companies customers come first and how they, as potential employees of these companies, can build positive customer experience.

“The most important asset of every country and every company are its people. We are always seeking the best talents and constantly invest in young people, giving them a chance to gain new experience and the best work practice within our company. As Telenor is the customer choice number one in Serbia, we want to present our continuous efforts to provide the best possible services for our users and share our experience with these students. It is clear that they could benefit later from this workshop because many aspects of what they have heard today could be applied in the whole spectrum of other businesses”, said Ove Fredheim, Telenor CEO.

The Fund for Young Talents beneficiaries includes university students from the School of Economics, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Mathematics, School of Political Science, School of Organizational Sciences and School of Philosophy.

Since its establishment, the Serbian Fund for Young Talents has funded and awarded over 10,800 university and secondary school students. Through cooperation with important institutions and companies, the Fund also organizes numerous activities and provides benefits that can boost further education and professional development of its beneficiaries and help them get work experience and employment.
