Telenor supported "Earth hour" campaign
27 March, 2010 - By switching of the lights on the headquarter building and in the main stores across Serbia at exactly 8:30 pm, Telenor took part in the world most massive campaign "Earth Hour".
“Earth Hour“ is a project which started in 2007 in Sidney when two million and two hundred citizens in Sidney expressed their unique protest against global warming. It was then, on March 28, that the lights were out for one hour at 8.30 p.m. for the first time and in this way private persons, state institutions and major corporations sent a clear message to the world of collective concern over growing disruption of the human environment. A year later, on that same day, over fifty million people in 375 cities all over the world turned off the lights as a sign of protest. This year this most massive world expression of positive energy which brought together people of all nations and religions rallied over 100 countries with the participation of over one billion people in this action.
