Telenor Prepaid Internet at more than 170 points in Serbia
February 27, 2009 – Simple to install, fast, with no contractual obligations, Telenor Prepaid Internet offers the perfect solution for Internet access, and top-ups can be purchased at points where subscribers regularly top up their prepaid account.
“We all feel a kind of resistance to cables, manuals, and time-consuming and complicated installation procedures. Simplicity is the key word here. The Internet is now like coffee or chocolate: buy and enjoy instantly,” says Goran Stupar, Media Coordinator in Telenor.
Within the Telenor Prepaid Internet package, subscribers receive a USB modem, a prepaid Internet card with an option of selecting one of three top-ups: Small, for downloading 50 megabytes of data, Medium 250, and Big – 1 gigabyte. They can use their top-up in the period of two months since the package purchase date.
Since last June, when Telenor signal in the Students Park in Belgrade enabled fast Internet outdoors, whereupon Serbia obtained the first Internet park in its history, Telenor 3G signal, which provides fast Internet, now reaches almost 40% of the population of Serbia in 170 cities and towns. At end-2008, more than 2.6 million people in Serbia used a PC, while the number of those who used the Internet exceeded two million.
A Telenor Internet modem is adjusted for both desktops and laptops, with Windows or Mac operating systems, and it provides a twice faster flow than a dial-up connection. It provides users with mobility and speed, regardless of their location. It can be used at home or at work, as well as in a cafe, restaurant, or outdoors.
