Telenor opens Olympic Cafe at Belgrade's Ada Ciganlija
Belgrade, August 8, 2008 – Seventeen days of full-time live broadcast of the Beijing Olympic Games on gigantic screens and a lot of entertainment await Belgraders at the Telenor Olympic Café at Ada Ciganlija as of today.
In addition to two 15m2 TV screens and 320 seats, the Telenor Café, which opens at 2 pm at the site of the popular “Sex and the City” bar, also offers beach volley, sand wrestling and basket ball courts. All visitors are invited to take photos in cardboard standup posters of renowned Olympic team members, use Telenor fast Internet for free and, if needed, recharge their handsets. In addition, special Telenor guests will appear as commentators of some of the competitions.
The most devoted supporters have the opportunity to take photos or produce video material while cheering, and compete for the best cheering content at the Website “Srbija navija”, www.srbijanavija.com. The winner will get valuable presents.
Contests in several sports, open for all interested parties, will be organized on weekends at the courts of the Cafe.
Telenor and Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) will present the culture of China, the country hosting the Olympics, to viewers in Serbia in brief entertaining stories from the Telenor Cafe, broadcast each day within the regular Olympic program.
