Telenor Opened Internet Park In Kraljevo - Free Telenor Internet in Bishop Nikolaj’s Residence Park,

July 1, 2009 – Bishop Nikolaj’s Residence Park has got free Telenor Internet today. Surrounded by the greenery, Kraljevo citizens will have an opportunity to surf the Web for free in the next three months. After parks in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, and Niš, this is the seventh park in our country which has got free Telenor Internet this year.

By implementing the Internet Parks project, Telenor in Serbia contributes to our country’s fast inclusion in the group of developed countries, since the Internet availability and IT literacy have best reflected a development rate of a society for years.

Telenor has prepared design solutions for all individual Internet parks, installed the equipment and will take care of its maintenance.

“As a result of excellent cooperation with the City authorities, Kraljevo obtained a mural painted by the Art Group Krš last year, within the “Start Up City” project. Citizens of Kraljevo already had an opportunity to use free Telenor Internet last year, and we have provided them with the same opportunity this year as well. Progress of smaller communities is one of important issues we want to raise through this campaign, and successful cooperation with the City authorities contributes to it,” says Brad Byblow, Sales and Distribution Director in Telenor.

Last June, Serbia got its first Internet Park ever, in Students Park in Belgrade, and the park near the Social Club was the first opened by Telenor in this city.

“This year’s Internet Park is definitely one more benefit for our citizens, provided through highly successful and long-standing cooperation with Telenor. In this manner, Kraljevo has made another step on its path of city development,” says Ljubiša Simović, Kraljevo Mayor.

The Internet Parks concept has been present in many cities across the world for years, and owing to Telenor Internet, it is available to citizens of Serbia for the second consecutive year.
