Telenor continues to invest in Serbia

November 3, 2008 - Tlenor d.o.o. and Direct Group established a joint venture company Telenor Direct with the intention of further developing the availability of Telenor services to customers all over the country.
The new company will be the main vehicle for the distribution of Telenor prepaid packages, recharge cards and electronic top-ups, as well as ship-to-order services. Thanks to “Telenor Direct“, Telenor products will reach a wider audience in Serbia with increased quality.

This joint venture, one more Telenor investment in Serbia, is another confirmation of Telenor’s long-term commitment to doing business in our country. It will create significant synergy, strengthen distribution capabilities and enable Telenor to focus on their core business. Telenor Direct will take over the responsibility for a route to market in a defined segment and within the defined portfolio.

In the successful two-year cooperation of these two companies, Telenor Direct is a logical step forward. Telenor Direct has 130 employees and is covering more then 19,000 points of sale.
By joining its international experience in the distribution of telecommunications products and services with the Direct Group supply chain expertise and state-of-the-art distribution infrastructure, Telenor will offer its users a new customer experience, simplicity and speed in the availability and purchase of services. Development of this cooperation will influence the expansion of distribution of the existing and new products and services. One of the expected results is the opening of new sales and work places.
