Students from Norway on internship in Telenor Serbia
Twenty students of master studies for the Service Design of the Oslo School of Design and Architecture (AHO) spent five days in Belgrade as interns in Telenor Serbia. Mentored by Telenor Expert Team, the students had a unique opportunity to contribute to the selected company projects and gain practical knowledge in globally ever popular service design area.
“Service Design is a growingly topical methodology of product and service development, which we apply also in Telenor Serbia and by which we ensure constant improvement of customer experience. During their visit, students from AHO University in Oslo got informed with our way of work, gained practical experience in the application of acquired theoretical knowledge and the result of their work are the new, creative ideas, which will be used in the further development of our services”, says Igor Ivanović, User Experience and Product Design Manager in Telenor Serbia.
Together with members of the User Experience and Process Design Team, which deals with customer experience and work process design, students from Norway had an opportunity to work on further development of possible concepts for the promotion of customer experience, within the ongoing Telenor regional project for CEE.
“Service and product design students from AHO University are closely cooperating with Telenor this whole semester, acquiring knowledge and exchanging experiences. Having in mind how much the Serbia team has done in the past period in the field of service design, coming to Serbia for internship is important for these students because they gain practical experience in the industry and have a chance to learn how to integrate that knowledge into their designs. Our task was to visualise different possibilities of new products that could be useful to end-users. The students worked hard on implementing four concepts for four new services. It is with pleasure that I can say that the final outcome will be used in further processes of Company Telenor. Also, we had the opportunity to exchange experiences on service design, designers, non-designers and challenges ahead of us, which is priceless for us”, says Natalia Lucia Agudelo Alvarez, Mentor and visiting professor at the Oslo School for Design and Architecture.
