December 10, 2010 - Regarding SMS spam messages coming from different numbers from the MTS network that many of our users have received recently, which promote the sports scholarship site, we draw the users’ attention to the following facts:
• This type of SMS messages is called spam and has been known for years in electronic communications on practically all markets.
• SMS messages are sent in this way randomly or by using phone numbers from some user database, e.g. database of a club or restaurant users, retail chains, etc. where users have left their data, including their phone numbers.
Telenor, just like any other operator, is unable to block these messages as each time they come from new numbers. That’s why advise you not to respond to unknown numbers with calls or SMS message.
If you have, nevertheless, replied to such a message, it will be charged according to the valid Price List.
