For the third consecutive year, Telenor introduces free-of-charge Internet in parks in towns in Serbia. Belgrade, Kragujevac, Niš, Novi Sad, Subotica, Valjevo and Kraljevo were given their Telenor Internet parks last year, whereas Novi Pazar is the first town this year to receive the Internet park.
The first Internet park in Novi Pazar was opened by Meho Mahmutović, Mayor of Novi Pazar, and Ana Vukotić, Regional Sales Manager at Telenor.
“Introduction of the Internet to our city park has provided our citizens with new contents, and it has enriched this environment. From now on, the citizens will have free-of-charge access to the Internet outdoors. We are grateful to Telenor company, which has recognized our city as an environment interested in technological and economic improvement“, said Mahmutović.
„We are pleased that Novi Pazar is getting its first Internet park. Telenor wants to make the Internet, as a basis of IT literacy, available to as many citizens of Serbia as possible, and thus express its support to bringing forward important questions of progress of smaller communities“, said Ana Vukotić.
Telenor has prepared conceptual solutions for every single Internet park, set up the needed equipment, and will be in charge of its maintenance.
