New Place and New Experience for Telenor Subscribers
Interaction, satisfaction and fun of Telenor’s one-stop comprehensive offer in new store in Knez Mihailova Street
June 18, 2008 – Digital skies, an interactive shop window, touch-screens and techno-gel seats are only some of the features in Telenor’s new flagship store, opened in Knez Mihailova Street in Belgrade today.
In its store which pushes boundaries of customer experience forward in regard to layout, design and service concept, Telenor provides its subscribers with high technology enabling them to choose a service and a phone at their preference in an easier and more entertaining manner.
The store boasts with materials and lighting equipment not seen in our country before. “The outlet is designed as a place where Telenor subscribers meet. The main idea has been to intertwine two aspects, technology and nature, combined to serve people. We have been led by the notion that the store layout should provide visitors with a creative, simple and interesting approach to contents,” says Maja Vidaković, an architect and a co-author of the store design.
Telenor’s new outlet also includes a separate glass cube-shaped room, where subscribers can purchase products and ink an agreement in a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Everyone can join an interactive puzzle to complete a picture from Telenor’s Olympic prepaid packages.
As an environmentally-aware company, instead of printed in-store promo material, Telenor has provided its subscribers with an option of selecting instructions on a service or a phone they are interested through a touch-screen, and then print selected sections. Furthermore, the fast Telenor Internet is available to subscribers in this store.
“Our idea has been to use interactive communication in educating and entertaining our subscribers while testing everything they are interested in. In the last year, Telenor has opened more than 40 stores across Serbia based on the interactive shopping concept. With this store in Knez Mihailova Street, another step closer to subscribers has been made, since it represents an ultimate result of this concept development and we hope it will be a place Belgraders will be glad to visit,” say Telenor representatives.
The ceremonial opening of the store, scheduled for Saturday, June 21, will be marked by a performance of the French band “Spectacle de la Lune”, with a ballet dancer who will perform her gymnastic act hanging from a giant balloon over the street. The performance will last from 7.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.
The overall project of Telenor’s store has been designed by Maja Vidaković, Marko Basarovski, an architect, and Mihajlo Jurić, an industrial designer.
