Modern Art With Telenor Prepaid Package

Murals – Trademark of Telenor’s “Tako lako” Package

May 15, 2009 – Reproductions of murals painted in cities across Serbia within the “Start Up City” project of the Telenor Foundation now decorate the packaging of Telenor’s “Tako lako” prepaid package. Subscribers may choose packages with a mural from their city or any of the remaining nine ones. Telenor thus expands its initiative of reviving the art scene across Serbia and decentralizing cultural production.

The “Tako lako” package is designed for Telenor subscribers generating equal traffic in all national networks. Price per minute is the same, while every third minute of a call is free of charge. SMS messages cost the same for all mobile networks.
The “Start Up City” project followed the decision of the Ministry for Local Self-Government to grant the status of cities to all larger municipalities in Serbia. So far, 14 newly established cities have murals. Reproductions include murals by Ana Kraš in Zrenjanin, Stefan Ikonić in Loznica, Krš Art Group in Kraljevo,  Miloš Nušić in Leskovac, Igor Oršolić in Novi Pazar, Igor Stangliczki in Subotica, Aleksandar Dimitrijević in Šabac, Siniša Ilić in Pančevo, and Aleksandra Petković in Vranje.

“Mural painting has started up cities across Serbia, and art has become part of everyday life of their citizens. We hope that works by young artists will now become known to all thanks to Telenor packages,” says Ana Krstić, the Telenor Foundation Manager.

Owing to the cooperation between the Telenor Foundation and the KIOSK NGO, the “Start Up City” project continues, and murals will soon be painted in Sombor, Požarevac, Valjevo, Zaječar and Novi Pazar.

Established in March 2007, the Telenor Foundation supports projects in the area of culture, art, youth care, support to endangered social groups, and this is the first time that part of the key business operations of the company is included in achieving socially responsible objectives in this manner.
