Join us at 2015 Telenor Youth Forum in Oslo
Telenor calls Serbian youth to apply for Telenor Youth Forum that will be held in December this year in Oslo. This year’s topic is “Knowledge for All”. The third Telenor Youth Forum is organized by Telenor Group in cooperation with Nobel Peace Prize Center.
“We believe youth, growing up in a connected and digital time, are uniquely positioned to predict and advise on how to build a better digital future for all. With the Telenor Youth Forum, we gather young people from the Nordics, Europe and Asia to connect and share views and perspectives on the challenges and benefits facing an increasingly connected world. We are looking forward to welcoming two participants from each of the 13 countries we operate in, to an eventful Youth Forum during the Nobel Peace Prize week in Oslo in December,” said Telenor Group’s Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs, Katja Nordgaard.
The Forum invites people between 18 and 28 years of age to apply by September 21st, 2015 on Telenor’s website. Expertise in telecommunications is not prerequisite, but applicants are required to write a 300-word essay in which they address one of the three questions that are part of this year’s Forum topic.
“We are pleased that the two candidates from Serbia will participate in the unique Telenor Youth Forum. We are aware that knowledge and technology play crucial roles in developing our digital future. Seven-day workshops are excellent opportunity for talented young people to show their ideas beyond the Serbian borders”, says Marija Vujanić, Head of Corporate Communications.
Global and local selection processes:
Local selection processes will recommend a shortlist of up to 4 candidates, while selection of the final two candidates travelling to Oslo will be made by an international selection panel consisting of representatives from civil society, academia and Telenor top management.
