Free Telenor internet park in Kikinda
August 29, 2013 – Owing to cooperation of Telenor and the Municipality of Kikinda, visitors of the park at Trg srpskih dobrovoljaca square can surf the Internet outdoors, read e-mails, communicate, get informed and entertained outdoors for free in the next two years.
“For six years now, Telenor has been opening Internet parks across Serbia, thus providing visitors with a unique opportunity to enjoy their favourite parks, connected at every moment with people and information of relevance. I am particularly glad that the residents of Kikinda and visitors of this centre of culture and art in the County of North Banat can use all the benefits of free wireless internet access at Trg srpskih dobrovoljaca as of today for the first time,” said Ivana Matijević, External Affairs Manager of Telenor.
Telenor Internet Parks improve local tourism as they enable tourists to get free-of-charge information on the tourist offer of the city they are visiting and Serbia, in a simple manner.
Visitors connect their smartphones, tablets, computers and other devices to an open Wi-Fi wireless network (SSID: Telenor Internet Park) connected to the Internet via Telenor Smart Network.
By the end of the summer, Telenor plans to grant Internet Parks to citizens of Niš. In addition to Kikinda, this year Telenor Internet Parks have been opened this year in Leskovac, Subotica, as well as nine Belgrade parks.
