Free-of-charge Telenor internet parks in Belgrade

July 24, 2013 – Owing to an extended contract with the City of Belgrade, visitors of nine city parks will have an opportunity to surf the Internet free-of-charge, read their e-mail, communicate, gather information and have fun surfing the net.
 
Telenor has enabled Internet access in the following parks:
 
  • Park near Vuk Monument,
  • Proleće Park,
  • Skate Park in Novi Beograd,
  • Student Park,
  • Mali Tašmajdan,
  • Veliki Tašmajdan,
  • Miljakovac Park,
  • Zvezdara Park and
  • Obrenovac Park.
 
Telenor Internet parks significantly facilitate tourists' stay, enable fast and free-of-charge access to information about tourist attractions in Serbia and its capital.
Park visitors can use their smartphones, tablets, computers and other devices to access an open Wi-Fi network (SSID: Telenor Internet Park) connected to the Internet via Telenor Smart Network.
 
For six years now, in cooperation with the City of Belgrade, Telenor has actively contributed to spreading IT literacy, the company has made the Internet available to as many people as possible and helped Belgrade keep pace with global cities across the world with free-of-charge Internet parks.
 
In the future Telenor plans to donate Internet parks to citizens of Leskovac, Sremska Mitrovica, Subotica, Kragujevac, Niš and Kikinda.
