Free Internet for Niš denizens
Denizens of Niš will be able to use the internet free of charge in the park Petar Bojović, thanks to the continued long-term cooperation between Telenor and Youth Office in this town.
All Niš inhabitants and visitors will be able to get informed, mutually communicate and surf the Internet at any moment with their phones, tablets and other smart devices while surrounded by the nature.
“Modern society today wouldn’t be able to imagine a day without communications and message exchanging tools. Technological development has introduced us into the new era of Internet, which makes it possible for the people to exchange information in real time. With this action of Telenor, as socially responsible company, and the Youth Office of the City of Niš, Petar Bojović Park will be covered by free Internet network. All our denizens will be able to communicate over their devices and I hope that this is just another in a series of common actions we will implement“, says Zoran Perišić PhD, Mayor of Niš.
Niš is one of the first towns in Serbia in which Telenor opened Internet park in 2008. Free access to internet in the open brings the Serbian towns closer to world metropolises and, at the same time, contributes to the spreading of computer literacy.
Free access to internet in the Smart Network is enabled for all visitors of 17 parks in Niš, Preševo, Kragujevac, Subotica, Kikinda, Leskovac, Sremska Mitrovica and Belgrade.
