“Serbia was significantly impacted by the unfortunate and disastrous flooding in May. Telenor in conjunction with other mobile operators responded by prioritizing service availability during the emergency and in the immediate aftermath, as well as through on-going financial and humanitarian aid”, says Erlan Netten, Chief Financial Officer of Telenor Serbia. “The flooding has damaged the economy, putting further challenges to the already competitive telco market. We remain focused on strengthening our market leadership and maintaining healthy profitability levels. In this, we will continue providing superior customer experience, through further enhancing the quality of our services and introducing innovative digital services”.
In the second quarter of 2014, Telenor Group reported the revenues of NOK 26.8 billion, representing an organic revenue growth of 1.6%. EBITDA, before other items, was NOK 9.616 billion, EBITDA margin was 36%, and operating cash flow was more than NOK 5.6 billion.
