Cartoons are designed specifically for mobile phones, and video clips are two to three minutes long. Cartoon Network and Telenor will periodically post series of new contents at WAP portal. The price per video clip is RSD80, VAT excluded, with free download.
Cartoons can be purchased only by Telenor network subscribers in Serbia, through the WAP portal at http://wap.telenor.rs. At the home page, there is an icon/baner, which promotes the offer from Cartoon Network production, and provides easy access to the contents. After selecting a desired content and purchase confirmation, the content is downloaded and saved in a mobile phone and can be viewed for an unlimited number of times.
“Telenor is the mobile operator with the widest offer of multimedia contents, and the WAP portal with the highest number of hits in the region. Subscribers of Telenor and all other mobile networks in the world can access the WAP portal. It is a location where, in addition to information on Telenor, there is an option of access to various contents, such as information from the country and the world, weather forecast reports, finance, entertainment, music, sports, film or culture. A direct link to the CNN WAP portal has recently been introduced, where it is possible to read information in English and watch video news,” says Vladimir Suvodolac, Business Development Manager.
“Turner linear channels, and in particular Cartoon Network, enjoy a great popularity in Serbia and moving into the digital media environment was naturally the next step. The cooperation with Telenor platform is part of our commitment to provide our sought after content in as many countries and on as many platforms. This is the first mobile agreement for Turner in the region and we are very happy about it”, said Gordana Duspara Moriarty, Vice President and General Manager, TBS, Central & Eastern Europe and Benelux.
