Belgrade is geting five murals at central locations

Renowned artists create “Super Walls” within BELEF Telenor Foundation, BELEF and KIOSK cooperate again

July 22, 2009 – Most renowned artists from the global street art scene, Blu, Valerio Beruti, M-City and modern local artists Biljana Đurđević and Vladimir Perić, are painting murals at facades at central locations in Belgrade, thus launching the “Super Wall” project“, implemented by the BELEF, the Telenor Foundation and the Platform for Contemporary Art KIOSK.

The murals will be presented to Belgrade in the next ten days.

The “Super Wall” project represents the continuation of cooperation between Telenor and the BELEF. Last year, as the golden sponsor of the Festival, the Foundation conducted the Art2sitON project, when Belgrade received 50 concrete benches decorated with original artwork of Belgrade painters, installed along the Sava and Danube river banks, at Kalemegdan and in several city parks.

With the “Super Wall” project, the Telenor Foundation continues to reestablish mural as an artistic form and facilitate development of art at public places, which is one of the leading themes of this year’s BELEF.
