Application for the financial support of Telenor Foundation to projects starts as of February 1

As of this year, Telenor Foundation is introducing a novelty when it comes to filing applications for projects seeking financial support. As of February 1, 2016, non-governmental organisations, state and public institutions, associations and other civil groups will have an opportunity to apply two times a year, through an open call. Same as in previous years, the competition will be open to all projects using or implementing digital technologies with a view to advancing the society. The only difference is that the competition will not be open the whole year, as till now.

All interested will have 30 days to register their projects, which are in line with Telenor Foundation’s strategy. The Management Board, at its next meeting to be held 15 days after the competition closes, will consider to what extent all received projects have responded to the set criteria. The number of project the Foundation will be supporting is not strictly defined and depends only on the extent to which they are in accordance with the priority areas of the Foundation’s work, i.e. which of them offers through the application of digital technologies, effective, sustainable and developmental solutions on the territory of the entire Serbia.

The Management Board of Telenor Foundation has been changed, two new members have joined in – Belgrade University President, Professor Vladimir Bumbaširević and President of the publishing house Color press Group, Robert Čoban.

Vladimir Bumbaširević is the dean and full professor of the Faculty of Medicine of Belgrade University, member of international medical societies and as of 2009 full member of the SASA. He is an active participant in a large number of national and European projects (TEMPUS, FP6, etc).

Apart from numerous humanitarian initiatives it supports, Color Press Group, with Robert Čoban at its head, traditionally organises “Teen Talk” conference dealing with social, cultural, consumer and communications needs and expectations of the young from 13 to 19 years of age, focusing predominantly on digital technologies and habits of teenagers.
