    Digital Newspaper Reading Room

    Subotica, January 25, 2008 – Citizens of Subotica will be provided with an opportunity to use and browse digital documentation of dailies and weeklies in Serbia for free in the City Library of that town. The documentation of the interesting title “Current Archive” contains nearly one million newspaper articles dating from early 2003 until 48 hours before, as defined upon print media copyright regulations, and includes around 15 dailies and weeklies published at the territory of Serbia and selected articles from major local weeklies.

    Children Without Parental Care in Winter Camp

    January 11, 2008 – The Association of Extreme Sports of Serbia and Telenor have organised a winter camp for children without parental care on Mt. Stara Planina. Twenty-five young people between nine and eighteen years of age, residents of homes for children without parental care from Belgrade, Paracin, Jagodina, Cuprija, Kragujevac and Knjazevac, took part in the seven-day mountaineering, orienteering and snowboarding camp.

    Grameenphone, the largest mobile provider in Bangladesh, 62 per cent of which is owned by Telenor, recently installed two hybrid solar-powered base station sites. The solar-powered base station is globally quite a new concept and has been installed in only a few countries so far.
