The First Telenor Hackathon
Telenor is organizing creative digital solution competition for better customer support system
Telenor will organize the first Telenor Hackathon on February 25, within which teams of programmers will have the opportunity to develop functional prototype of Facebook Messenger Chatbot application in 12 hours.
The right to participate in this contest will have teams consisting from two to four members. Having in mind that the topic of Hackathon is software solution development on specific predefined topic, teams must have relevant experience and knowledge in order to independently develop the Facebook Chatbot solution. By filing an application on Telenor website, the contestants are entering the first round of selection, after which 15 best teams, evaluated by an expert jury, will have the opportunity to develop their creative solution and fight for one of the three cash awards.
“By organizing Hackathon we want to support the development of technological creativity and further improve our customers’ digital experience. Young teams of programmers and designers will have the unique opportunity to develop specific solutions on the field of artificial intelligence with a possibility of its further implementation in Telenor customer support systems. Teams are expected to show innovation and create original solution that can help Telenor’s customers in Serbia“, says Kai Gulbrandsen, Chief Technology Officer in Telenor.
Chatbot, the next step in artificial intelligence development, presents a computer programme that simulates human conversation based on prepared answers and reactions to predefined words. Often, chatbots are used as additional communications channel within company’s customer support.
Application for Telenor Hackathon is opened until February 20, via application form that can be found on Telenor’s website.
