Telenor Music

"Telenor Music“ makes it possible for Telenor users to download music contents, full audio tracks and full video clips via WAP, WEB, and SMS. In this way Telenor has became the only operator in Serbia enabling you to legally buy full tracks by paying royalties for copyrights to all music contents distributed over Telenor network. In addition, Telenor is the only operator which has signed Cooperation Agreement with SOKOJ (Organisation for the Protection of Music Copyrights) for the purpose of directly paying copyright royalties.  
  
Apart from Telenor Serbia and Telenor Group, content providers are also participating in the implementation of this service, but also music publishing houses that shall actually select the available contents.  
 
Telenor has concluded contracts on strategic partnership with foreign and national publishing houses, and contents of publishing houses such as Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, EMI, City Records, Grand Production, Multimedia Records, Dallas Records, Mascom, Avalon Production, SonyBMG, B92, PGP RTS, Automatik Records, Komuna, Barba Music, Goraton, JK Music, Music Star Production, Polydor, Def Jam Recordings, Interscope Records, A&M, Mercury Records, Elektra, Atlantic Records, Roc-A-Fella, Sire, Maverick are available within the Telenor Music service offer.
 
Within this service multimedia contents are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology that prevents further distribution of contents, which individual publishing houses consider illegal. Consequently, individual music contents are protected by DRM, so as to prevent distribution of bought contents to other users via Bluetooth, IR, e-mail, MMS, and E-mail. DRM technology has been adjusted to music industry copyright standards.

When buying music contents, users shall always get clear information on the price.
 
During downloading of music contents at Telenor Music WAP portal, data throughput over Telenor GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA network in Serbia shall not be additionally charged, i.e. data throughput shall be free of charge, with users only paying for multimedia contents. In other words, the data throughput is already included in the price of multimedia content.
Buying via WAP: Users do not need to register additionally when accessing the service over the WAP, because WAP portal shall recognise the access phone number. Users only need to properly set GPRS parameters.

Buying via WEB: It is possible to buy contents for handset over Telenor Music WEB portal with prior registration and selection of desired contents. After the contents are selected and purchase confirmed, user shall receive a WAP-push message on its handset and by following the received link the ordered contents shall be downloaded. When accessing the „Telenor Music“ service at WEB, users must register for the service use in order to purchase contents for their mobile handset. User registration is done over the home page of music WEB portal at the web address www.telenor.rs/muzika.
 
Buying via SMS: Users purchasing music contents over newspapers and magazines can buy contents also via SMS by sending a short code to the number 6363. This system of buying music contents is used when ordering audio tracks through newspapers and magazines, and information on a short code shall be written next to the contents name in the ad. A message sent to number 6363 shall be charged according to the user’s tariff package and it falls into the charge-free category of traffic.
Data throughput shall be charged according to the valid price list when contents are bought outside the territory of Serbia, i.e. when users are buying contents from roaming.
 
Content formats within “Telenor Music“ service differ and are designed for most mobile handsets. Available formats are MP3, WMA, WMV, AAC, 3GP, etc. and shall be automatically sent to users depending on the used phone model.
 
Integral audio tracks available for downloading can be even up to 12 MB in size so that it can happen a user might not have enough phone (or memory card) memory available to save the paid contents. In such cases, the user must ensure the sufficient memory on his/her handset before the purchase of contents. Only music contents for mobile handsets can be bought by accessing the WEB and WAP portal.
