USER REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
When registering for the PLATIMO service, the user shall take the following steps:
1. Registration in Telenor
The user applies for this service in Telenor shops. In order for user to be able to use the certificate and the PLATIMO service, he has to be a Telenor postpaid user with a corresponding tariff package. All information on packages supporting the PLATIMO service are available in Telenor shops and at Telenor Call Centre (0639000).
Certificates can be ordered in Telenor shops. The user’s SIM card shall be replaced before the certificate is ordered. The user shall get a special SIM card, which contains sPIN and sPUK codes on the plastic, covered by scratch foil. sPIN and sPUK codes are not known to Telenor and the user shall be under the obligation to take care of these and not disclose them to anyone.
After the SIM card is replaced, the user shall sign a written request for the issue of the certificate. With this signature the user confirms that the data given in the request are correct, as well as that he has been informed of this document.
The user shall apply for the certificate issued by Halcom Certification Agency, based on a written request for the issue of the certificate submitted by Telenor. Telenor/Halcom reserve the right to suspend the issue of the certificate in case of omissions in the collection of written documentation.
The user shall activate the certificate on his own, immediately after activating the SIM card, in the application menu (
Telenor SIM menu -> mCertificate -> Issue mCertificate). When activating the certificate, the user shall be requested to enter sPIN code confirming the user’s identity and completing the certificate activation procedure. As of that moment the certificate is ready for use and the application will, on its own, request the user to change sPIN code, so that from that moment onwards the new sPIN code will apply. The user is advised not to write down or disclose to anyone the newly created sPIN. The user may at any moment, in the application menu, change sPIN code (
Telenor SIM menu -> mCertificate -> Change sPIN) once again.
Only one certificate can be issued for one SIM card.
2. Registration in the Bank
After completing the registration procedure in Telenor, the user shall register with the bank in which he has an open account, and which is in the PLATIMO system. The registration with the bank is done in line with the bank business policy. The bank shall establish a connection between the certificate on the user’s SIM card and his bank account.
Up to three accounts connected to the same certificate can be registered in one or more banks.
More than one certificate can be connected to the same bank account: certificates can belong to one and the same or different persons, in line with the bank business policy.
With the user’s registration in the bank for the PLATIMO service, the PLATIMO services offered by the bank can be used.
Telenor shall not be held liable for the registration process in the bank. Telenor has no insight into details regarding the bank accounts, nor financial details of transactions (such as amount of the transaction, account No, etc.).
Should a user have objections in regard to the account amounts/balance, transaction details, traders, payment process, etc., he should address his bank with the objection.

Note: In case when numbers are being transferred from one contract to another within the same owner’s contract, there will be no change in the certificate status and the PLATIMO service.
-
SIM card replacement– if the user had an active certificate (service) on the SIM card that is changed, the certificate shall be automatically suspended and at the replacement the user shall sign a document for its suspension. If the user wants to continue using the service (and the certificate) on the new SIM card too, he needs to repeat the whole registration procedure (both in Telenor and the bank), as described above herein.
-
Transfer to a tariff package which doesn’t support the use of the PLATIMO service.
Note: If the user decides to change his tariff package and has active service PLATIMO, he needs to get informed on possibilities of using the PLATIMO service with a newly selected tariff package.
In cases of certificate suspension, for any reason, the user can reactivate it after reasons for the suspension cease to apply by personally visiting Telenor shop and signing the certificate reactivation request.
The service subscription shall be charged even when the certificate is suspended, for any reason, and shall not be charged only in case of certificate termination (deactivation).
In case of change in the user’s name, only at his request, a new certificate shall be issued with a new personal name. At the certificate issue, in this case, the user shall sign a request for the termination of the certificate issued to the old personal name and shall sign a request for the issue of the certificate to the new personal name. In this case no SIM card replacement is necessary.
The replacement of the subscriber number in Telenor, with the retention of the existing SIM card, shall not affect the certificate status, but the user shall be under the obligation to inform his bank of the change within the shortest possible time. The service may be suspended by:
User’s service suspension:
-
By disabling the service through the application menu (
Telenor SIM menu -> Platimo -> disable Platimo) the user terminates the connection between all his bank accounts registered for the PLATIMO service and the certificate on the SIM card. This shall not affect the status of the certificate itself, nor the subscription status which the user is obliged to continue paying to Telenor for the use of the service. In order for a user to be able to use the PLATIMO service again for payments, he needs to once activate the connection between bank accounts and the certificate on the SIM card by personally going to the bank.
-
Visit to the bank so as to terminate the connection between the bank account and the certificate on the SIM card. This shall not affect the status of the certificate itself, nor the subscription status which the user is obliged to continue paying to Telenor for using the service. In order for a user to be able to again use the PLATIMO service for payments, he needs to again activate the connection between the bank accounts and the certificate on the SIM card by personally going to the bank.
-
The user can initiate the suspension of his digital certificate by dialling Telenor Call Centre (0639000) or personally going to a Telenor shop. The suspension will follow 4 hours after the call/visit, at the latest. The suspension of the certificate shall not affect the subscription status which the user is obliged to continue paying to Telenor for using the service.
-
The user can permanently suspend i.e. terminate his certificate only by going to a Telenor shop and signing a certificate suspension request. The certificate shall be terminated only after the written request is received by the Certification Agency (Halcom), and that can be 14 days as of the request signature, at the latest. After termination of the certificate, that same certificate cannot be reactivated. Should the user wish to again use the PLATIMO service, he needs to repeat the complete procedure of service activation in both Telenor and the bank, which implies the replacement of the SIM card.
Telenor’s service suspension:
Telenor reserves the right to suspend the service in case of certificate suspension for reasons given under “Use of services”.
NOTE:
Reactivation of a suspended certificate and services can be done only by coming to Telenor shop and signing a certificate reactivation request, provided that reasons for certificate suspension no longer apply. The certificate reactivation shall not be charged.
Bank’s service suspension:
In case of suspicion of abuse or in line with other rules from its business policy, the bank shall be entitled to terminate connections between bank account and user’s certificate. In that way the user shall no longer be able to use the PLATIMO service, but the certificate and subscription to the PLATIMO service shall remain active. This will enable the user to register with another bank.
Service suspension with the certificate validity expiry:
Certificate shall be valid for 3 years after its issue. If the user fails to renew it before this period expires, the certificate shall no longer be valid and cannot be used any more. The renewal of the certificate shall be done over the application menu (
Telenor SIM menu -> mCertificate -> renew mCertificate), immediately before the expiry of the certificate validity period. The user shall be duly informed by Telenor on possibilities of renewing the certificate.
Note: Telenor reserves the right to suspend the provision of PLATIMO service(s) whereof it shall duly inform the user.
