TRENDS – A TRAP OR EVOLUTION

The May issue of our magazine explores the phenomenon of trends. We have also consulted  Internet studies and tried to get the answer to the questions that were raised (is that a trend too?) about the origin of trends, trendsetters, trend makers, but also about the influence of mass communications on the appearance and disappearance of trends.

We have come up with the answer to the question whether modern trends are the result of the development of man’s imagination and innovations or a trap that forces us to accept the will of the majority without any objection.  Opinions are divided, but the Editorial office was unanimous in its opinion that only developed personalities can take advantage of the trends and avoid becoming puppets of imperatives – of all kinds. Also, it all depends on the “quality” of the trend, its essential necessity and importance for a man.

Also, mobile technologies and Internet are always in trend so much so that they changed the life on our planet and that the necessity of owning smart devices and Internet accessibility at every moment have become basic life necessities. Major companies, such as Samsung, Nokia, Sony, HTC, Huawei... are perfecting smart phones, tablets and laptops daily, in pursuit of the modern man’s needs.

You will agree that it is no longer a question of prestige to have a good quality smart phone which is our “assistant” in our daily duties, but is rather the question of need. Believe it or not, but according to the expectations of the United Nations approximately 10 billion people will be using a mobile phone by the year 2018!?
