Telenor Foundation

We’re Here to Help

Telenor believes that success is measured not only by good business results and a leading market position, but also by treating the local community in a responsible way.

Our company founded the Telenor Foundation, in March 2007. As the largest foreign investor in Serbia, Telenor is investing in Serbia continuously and helping the development of the country’s social potentials. It is our desire to help resolve certain problems that Serbian society faces. This is why the Foundation initiates and supports projects that offer effective, sustainable and developmental solutions throughout Serbia. This is also the purpose of the unique concept of corporate social responsibility that the Telenor Group has been implementing successfully throughout the world (www.telenor.com).

The fact that we invited experts from different areas of expertise to be members of the Foundation’s Managing Board shows that we do not want our business plans to affect the Foundation’s strategy, but that it should be guided by the genuine needs of this society and contribute to its successful growth and development.

We do not wish to support a certain project and then forget about it. Instead, we follow it through and support it over a longer period of time. Our managers are involved in the Foundation’s projects and they monitor their progress, and our employees contribute through volunteer work and personal example.
